Our Sheep lines are always popular with visitors, and showcase the best of Native, Non-Native and Rare Breed Sheep. 2016 saw a record number of entries, including many of the more traditional breeds, Herdwick, Hampshire Down and Blue faced Leister, plus some less common breeds, including Valais Blacknose.
With classes for Hunters, Veterans, Show Ponies, Side Saddle, Mountain and Moorland amongst many others, the variety of equine classes at Westmorland Show is vast.
Royal International Horse Show and BSPS qualifying classes mean that our equine entries are always extremely healthy. Show jumping classes take place in our Main Ring, along with Ridden Heavy Horses and carriage driving, with showing classes taking place in the dedicated horse rings in the Equine Village.
